Your custom website and social media go hand in hand. Your website is your home - and social media is an invitation to visit your home. To get the word out about your music, use the share options provided in our Music features.

Sharing music from your website account

Use this option to share music to your social media accounts.

  1. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, open the page from which you’ll be sharing music
  2. Click the ‘Music’ feature
  3. Click the ‘Share’ button
  4. Choose the share option you’ll be using:
    • Facebook: Click ‘Share on Facebook’
    • Twitter: Click ‘Share on Twitter’
    • By Email: This option only works if you are using an email program that is linked to your computer such as Outlook
    • By direct link: Copy the link in the ‘Or, share this link’ field, and paste it into a social media post, email, or text message.
    • Embed code: Use this code snippet to embed your track onto another website.

Note: On Facebook and Twitter, your album or track will be displayed in a streaming player.

Sharing music from your website

This option is available for website visitors to share your music to their social media accounts.

  1. From any ‘Music feature’ on your website (track list, album, or compact player), click the ‘Share’ link

    Note: Place your cursor over the track name to see the share link

    • Facebook: Click ‘Share on Facebook’
    • Twitter: Click ‘Share on Twitter’
    • By Email: This option only works if you are using an email program that is linked to your computer such as Outlook
    • By direct link: Copy the link in the ‘Or, share this link’ field, and paste it into a social media post, email, or text message.

      Note: On Facebook and Twitter, your album or track will be displayed in a streaming player.

Sharing a Bandzoogle music player to another website

  1. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, open the page from which you’ll be sharing music
  2. Click the ‘Music’ feature
  3. Click the ‘Share’ button
  4. Under the ‘Embed code’ section, copy the code
  5. Go to the external website to which you’d like to post the feature
  6. Follow the steps there to add an external widget to their site

Notes:

  • You must have an active Bandzoogle account for the music feature to display on a non-Bandzoogle website.
  • The player will display your album image. If the album/track has no uploaded image, it will display your site-wide profile image. If there is no site-wide profile image, a plain grey background will be displayed.

Sharing music from your file manager

  1. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, click ‘Pages’
  2. Select ‘File manager’ from below the list of pages
  3. Click ‘Add file’
  4. Select the file to be uploaded from your computer or import it from your Dropbox.com account
  5. Add a title and file description
  6. Once the file uploads, Click ‘Save’
  7. Click the file name in your File Manager
  8. Copy the link and share it by email, social media, or text message

Note: When clicked, this link will automatically download the album or track to the fan’s computer.

Hide the share option

If you don’t want visitors to see the option to share your music, that link can be hidden from your website:

  1. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, open the page from which you’ll be sharing music
  2. Click the ‘Music’ feature
  3. Select ‘Options’ in the left sidebar
  4. Next to ‘Sharing’ uncheck the options you’d like to hide
    • Show album share link: Unselect to hide the option to share the album
    • Show share link on individual tracks: Unselect to hide the option to share any individual tracks in this album
  5. Click ‘Save’
  6. Repeat these steps for each album you’d like to adjust

Note: If you previously allowed sharing, links found in Google search index may still be usable.
