How to add a featured event landing page

The Featured Event landing page template is a pro feature. To add a ‘Featured event’ landing page to your website, follow these steps:

  1. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, click ‘Pages’
  2. Select ‘Add a page’
  3. In the ‘Select a page type’ area, click on ‘Landing page templates’
  4. From the dropdown options, select ‘Featured event’
  5. Name your page in the ‘Title’ field (defaults to ‘Featured event’ if unchanged)
  6. Adjust your ‘Menu settings’
    • Note: If you’d like to use this page exclusively as a promotional link, select ‘Not in menu’ and it will not appear in your website’s main menu. You can provide the page url to your fans and use it as a funnel.
  7. Adjust your ‘Page options.’ To learn more about ‘Page options,’ please read the ‘Adding Pages’ help article.
  8. Click 'Create my page'

How to populate your event headline

Add text to the event headline to describe the event you will be promoting. To populate the event headline, follow these steps:

  1. On your ‘Featured Event Landing page,’ click on the text that reads ‘Add your event headline here’
  2. Type in the text you’d like to use as your headline and click anywhere outside of the headline field to finalize the changes.

How to add event specific text

Add text below the headline to include more details about the event to let fans know what makes it special. To add event specific text, follow these steps:

  1. On your ‘Featured Event Landing page,’ click on the text that reads ‘Let your fans know what makes this featured event special.’
  2. Type in the text you’d like to use as your description and click anywhere outside of the field to save the changes.

How to populate the 'Calendar' feature

The Bandzoogle ‘Calendar’ feature allows you to add upcoming events to be displayed in a table, list, or calendar format.

To set up your Calendar feature to add new events, follow these steps:

  1. On your ‘Featured Event Landing page,’ click on the ‘Calendar’ feature
  2. Give the calendar a name, and click ‘Add New Calendar.’

To create a new event and enable ticket sales, follow these steps:

  1. Click ‘Add Event’
  2. Add your event details.

    • Time and date:

      • Use the calendar field at the top to set the date
      • Show time: Toggle on to select a time from the dropdown time options, including hour, minute, and AM/PM
      • Recur type: Use the dropdown to select a recurrence frequency from the following options:
        • Does not repeat
        • Daily
        • Weekly
        • Monthly
        • Yearly
      • Add end date/time: Toggle on to select an end date and time
      • Display time zone: For live-streams or international tours, toggle on and select the time zone from the dropdown options
      • Event confirmed: Toggle on to have your event displayed on your site. If this option is toggled off, the event will appear in your ‘Manage events’ area and you can update this option when the event is confirmed.
    • Name and location:

      • Event name: Title of the show or tour
      • Location name: Name of the venue
      • Location URL: Add the URL for the live stream event or venue
      • City/Town: City/town of venue
      • Save this location: When checked, the location will be saved to your account, so you don’t have to fill in the same venue information each time. You can save up to 100 locations. Choose Previous Locations to select a previously created location.
      • Show map link?: Adds a ‘View on Google Maps’ link to the venue location on your website.
    • Event details:

      • Event description: Enter the event information including age restrictions, VIP details, etc.
      • Add artwork: Upload an image from your computer. Useful for a custom show poster or a promo photo.
    • Sell Tickets:

      • Don't sell tickets online
      • Sell tickets through another website
        • Tickets link: Enter the URL of the website where tickets can be purchased
        • Price info: Add the ticket price
      • Sell tickets through my website (Pro only)
        • Price: Set the amount for one ticket
          • Is on sale: Select and assign a sale price or a percentage off
          • Subscriber pricing: Toggle on to add special pricing for people who subscribe to your site.
            1. Lowest applicable tier: Use the dropdown to select the lowest subscriber tier that subscriber pricing will apply to. All higher tiers will receive the Subscriber pricing.
            2. Subscriber purchase type: Choose the purchase type from the drop down
            3. Subscriber price: Add the ticket price for subscribers
          • Receipt note: Include a message for your customer.
          • Live stream link: Add the link to your livestreaming event and it will appear on the ticket.
          • Track inventory: Assign a maximum number of tickets available for purchase. The system will automatically mark the tickets as ‘unavailable’ when the number of available tickets is reached.
  3. Click 'Save'

Note: Ticket sales apply to single events only - not recurring events.
