Create a Homepage

Your homepage is the first thing visitors will see when landing on your site, so you want to grab their attention with a good variety of important content along with a strong call-to-action.

The content of your homepage should offer a little bit of everything: add a short bio and some images near the top, then feature your latest single or album for streaming and purchase. Add your latest video here as well, while keeping older ones on a separate Video or Media page.

On a rapper website homepage, start with content that will engage your visitors and offer a snapshot into your career. Include the following:

  • An ‘Image and Text’ feature with a short bio and photo
  • A mailing list sign-up form
  • Latest news in a ‘Blog’ feature
  • A ‘Track List’ feature with a few of your songs
  • Upcoming events in a ‘Calendar’ feature

To create your rapper website Home page in Bandzoogle:

  1. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, click ‘Pages’
  2. Select ‘Add a page’
  3. Choose the ‘Home page’ template
  4. Adjust your page options (see note below)
  5. Click ‘Create my page’

This will create a quick preset page layout for your Home page. You can add or remove features at any time. You can also set these features into columns or rows to make a unique layout.

Once your features are in place, populate the content with images, text, any upcoming dates, and your songs.

Add an About page

As a rapper, you’re sure to draw from your personal experiences in your lyrics, but let your fans and industry know the depths of your story on your About page. A compelling story can leverage your image and create more interest in your music.

  6. This will name your page ‘Bio’ by default; you can adjust that to ‘About,’ or anything you’d like
  7. Click ‘Create my page’

Create a Shows page

For a lot of rappers, live performances are the best place to build a fanbase and generate additional income though ticket and merch sales.
