Each domain name hosted at Bandzoogle will automatically have an SSL certificate applied to it at no additional cost.

This Help article includes:

  • What is a SSL certificate?
  • How do I get one applied to my domain name?

What is a SSL certificate?

SSL certificates are what enable websites to use HTTPS, which is more secure than HTTP. SSL is a protocol for encrypting Internet traffic and verifying server identity, making sure your content and data is as secure as possible.

When an SSL certificate has been successfully applied to your domain name, your URL will begin with the prefix “https” instead of “http.”

How do I get one applied to my domain name?

Once your domain name is live and loading your Bandzoogle website or EPK, an SSL certificate will automatically be issued and applied within 48 hours.

If 48 hours has gone by and your website is still displaying as not secure, contact our support team to help resolve the issue.

Note: SSL certificates are applied to both domain names registered with Bandzoogle and domains registered externally. Forwarding an externally-registered domain name to Bandzoogle will result in an SSL certificate not being issued. The proper domain nameserver settings must be used to get your externally-registered domain name loading your Bandzoogle website.
