Your custom website and social media go hand in hand. Your website is your home, and social media is an invitation to visit that home. To get the word out about your music, use the share options provided in our music features. You can disable this option at any time within your music feature settings.

How to share music from your editor

Use this option to share music to your social media accounts.

  1. From the 'Edit Content' tab, open the page from which you’ll be sharing music
  2. Click on the music feature to open it
  3. Click the 'Share' button located in your music feature
    • 'Album' and 'Single' feature: click 'Share album' located in the top right of your feature
    • Tracks in any music feature: click on the " … " icon and click 'Share' in the dropdown options
  4. Choose the share option you'll be using:
    • Facebook: Click the Facebook icon
    • Threads: Click the Threads icon
    • X: Click the X icon
    • By Email: Click the email icon
    • By direct link: Click 'Copy' in the 'Link' field, and paste that into a social media post, email, or text message.
    • QR Code: Copy, print, or download the QR Code that will link directly to your track or album when scanned.

How to share music from your website

This option is available for website visitors to share your music to their social media accounts.

  1. From any music feature on your website ('Track List', 'Album', 'Single', or 'Compact Player'), click the share icon to right of the track title

    Note: Place your cursor over the track name to see the share icon Choose the share option you’ll be using: - Facebook: Click the 'Share on Facebook' button - Twitter: Click the 'Share on Twitter' button - Email: Click the 'Share by Email' button - By direct link: Copy the link in the 'Or, share this link' field, and paste that into a social media post, email, or text message.

How to share music with Smart links

The 'Smart links' feature allows you to add a track or album on your website that links to streaming services, social media networks, or a page URL. Use this option to promote and sell your recent single or an album launch.

To enable the 'Share this' link under your 'Smart links' feature, follow these steps:

  1. From the 'Edit Content' tab, open the page with your 'Smart Links' feature
  2. Click on the 'Smart Links' feature to view the feature options
  3. In the 'Options' area, toggle on 'Share link'. This will enable a 'Share this' link beneath the 'Smart Links' feature on your website
  4. Open your website in a browser and click 'Share this' at the bottom of your 'Smart Links' feature
  5. Once the link is copied to your clipboard, paste the link wherever you'd like to add a direct link to your 'Smart Links' feature

How to embed a Bandzoogle music player on another website

  1. From the 'Edit Content' tab, open the page from which you'll be sharing music
  2. Click on the music feature to open it
  3. Click the 'Share' button located in your music feature
    • 'Album' and 'Single' feature: click 'Share album' located in the top right of your feature
    • Tracks in any music feature: click on the " … " icon and click 'Share' in the dropdown options
  4. Click 'Copy' in the 'Embed code' field
  5. Go to the external website to which you'd like to post the feature
  6. Follow the steps there to add an external widget to their site

Notes:

  • You must have an active Bandzoogle account for the music feature to display on a non-Bandzoogle website.
  • The player will display your album image. If the album/track has no uploaded image, it will display your site-wide profile image. If there is no site-wide profile image, a plain gray background will be displayed.

How to share music from your File Manager

  1. From the 'Edit Content' tab, click ‘Pages’
  2. Select 'File Manager' from below the list of pages
  3. Click the 'Music' tab
  4. Next to your track name, click the " … " icon and then on 'Share'
  5. Choose the share option you'll be using:
    • Facebook: Click the Facebook icon
    • Threads: Click the Threads icon
    • X: Click the X icon
    • By Email: Click the email icon
    • By direct link: Click 'Copy' in the 'Link' field, and paste that into a social media post, email, or text message.
    • QR Code: Copy, print, or download the QR Code that will link directly to your track or album when scanned.

Note: If you previously allowed sharing, links found in Google search index may still be usable.

How to share music from Apple Music

You can share a variety of content on Apple Music including songs, albums, radio stations, and playlists.

To find the 'Share' option on Apple Music, follow these steps:

  1. In the Music app on your computer or phone, find the song, album, or playlist in your library that you’d like to share.
  2. Select the item, then click the 'More' button ( … )
  3. Click 'Share' then choose any of the following options:
    • Copy Link: Copies the link to your clipboard. When the link is used, it'll open in Apple Music.
    • Mail: Copies the link to an email you can send through your device's Email app.
    • Messages: Copies the link into a text message you can send through your computer or phone’s 'Messages' app.
    • Copy Embed Code: Copies the HTML code to your clipboard. You can paste this code into a 'HTML Code' feature on any page of your Bandzoogle website.

How to share music from Spotify

Sharing one of your tracks, albums or playlists from Spotify is a great way to encourage your fans to follow you there.

To get a share link in your Spotify account, follow these steps:

  1. Find the track or album you’d like to share in your Spotify account
  2. Click the 'More' button ( … )
  3. Click 'Share'

When on the desktop app, you’ll be given the following share options:

  • Copy Album/Song Link: Copy a URL to your clipboard which will open the song or album in Spotify when clicked on.
  • Embed Track: Get an embedding code that can be pasted into a ‘HTML Code’ feature on any page of your Bandzoogle website.

When on the mobile app, you'll see these expanded share options:

  • Copy Link: Copy a URL to your clipboard which will open the song or album in Spotify when clicked.
  • Messenger: Share the link in Facebook messenger
  • WhatsApp: Share the link in a message in WhatsApp.
  • Stories: Share the track or album to your Instagram story
  • Messages: Share the link in a direct message in Instagram
  • Feed: Share it to your Facebook timeline
  • Stories: Share it in a story on Facebook Messages: Share it in a text message through your 'Messages' app
