Upselling is a great way to encourage fans to purchase similar or related products in your music website store. Upselling is available on the Pro plan, and includes the ability to suggest products for your fans to add to their cart along with the item they intend to purchase.

When fans add an upsell product to their cart it will appear as a separate item from the initial product.Adding Upsells is a great option outside of ‘product bundling’ for promoting products in your selling tools

What types of products you can upsell

Upsell products can be added to any Bandzoogle store items which are listed as available, and have a fixed price. This includes physical merchandise, digital files, physical albums, and digital music.

Integrated Printful items can be added as upsell products, but cannot have upsell products added to them.

How to add upsell products

Bandzoogle Pro plan members can add up to three upsell products which will display on the website beneath the item, along with the heading ‘Frequently purchased together.’ Fans can add any or all items to their cart along with the primary product.

To be added as upsell products, the items must have a fixed price and be available for purchase (not hidden items).

To add an upsell product:

  1. In your Bandzoogle control panel, click on ‘Selling tools’
  2. In ‘Your store features’ section, click ‘Edit’ next to the store you would like to edit
  3. In the next screen, click on the item to which you’d like to add products to upsell
  4. Scroll down the product page and click the 'Add upsell products' in the ‘Upsell products’ button in the 'Upsell products' section
  5. On the next screen, toggle through the following categories to locate the items you’d like to upsell with this product
    • All: List of all items available in your ‘Selling Tools’
    • Products: List of all physical products created in your ‘Selling Tools’
    • Printful: List of all Printful items synced with your ‘Selling Tools’
    • Music: List of all digital music created in your ‘Selling Tools’
    • File downloads: List of all digital files created in your ‘Selling Tools’
  6. Next to the item you’d like to upsell, click ‘Add’
  7. Add up to three items to be associated with this product as upsells
  8. Click ‘Save & continue’
  9. Confirm your changes on the original product page by clicking ‘Save product’ at the bottom of the page

When a fan visits your site they can choose to purchase just the primary product or they can add the primary product and upsell items to their cart by clicking ‘Add selected to cart.’ All of your upsell products are selected by default. Your customer can deselect any upsell product by clicking on the check mark next to the item before adding the items to their cart.

How to remove ‘upsell products’

If you’d like to remove a product as an ‘Upsell product,’ follow these steps:

  1. In your Bandzoogle control panel, click on ‘Selling tools’
  2. In the ‘Your store features’ section, click ‘Edit’ next to the store you would like to edit
  3. On the next screen, click on the item from which you’d like to remove an upselling product
  4. Scroll down the product page and click on the ‘x’ next to the ‘Upsell product’ you’d like to remove
  5. On the pop-up screen, click ‘Delete’ to confirm removing the upsell product
  6. Confirm your changes by clicking 'Save product'

Products you remove as upsell items will still be available in your store feature to use elsewhere on your site. Removing an ‘Upsell product’ does not remove it from your e-commerce tools.
