Are you a HostBaby member with an external site such as WordPress, GoDaddy, or another company?

Whether you’re ready for a fresh new look, or you’ve decided to try out some of our musician-friendly features, we’re excited to welcome you to Bandzoogle.

Now for the nitty-gritty details to help you on your way. You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

How do I log in to my Bandzoogle account?

Click the link in your HostBaby notification email to set a password on your new account. You can also head over to and log in with your email address and password once you have it set up.

How much does Bandzoogle cost?

Because your account was migrated from HostBaby, you have an extended 90-day free trial so you can try out all of our templates and features. Plus you’ll get 15% off the first year if you decide to upgrade to a paid plan.

We offer three paid plans to choose from, which all have premium hosting included. You can pay monthly or annually. If you pay for the year in advance you get an additional discount:

  • Lite: $9.95 per month, or $99.50 per year
  • Standard: $14.95 per month, or $149.50 per year
  • Pro: $19.95 per month, or $199.50 per year

When will my hosting at HostBaby be turned off?

HostBaby will turn off hosting accounts on January 31, 2020. You will want to rebuild your website at Bandzoogle, or find new hosting, before that time to ensure your website stays online.

Do I get to keep my CD Baby distribution credits?

Yes. You will keep the CD Baby distribution credits you had in place if you create a website with Bandzoogle. Contact us in support directly if you have any questions.

Why choose Bandzoogle?

We’ve been providing website services for musicians since 2003 and are confident that you will build a modern, mobile-ready website for your music here. We offer dozens of templates that you can customize to make your own, commission-free music sales, an EPK page option, a built-in mailing list tool, and more.

Plus, if you need hands-on help to re-create your website, our support team is available 7 days a week to guide you along.

Can I use my current website and host it with Bandzoogle?

Unfortunately, no. You should be able to get a similar look using our templates, features, and tools. This may sound daunting, but it will make for super quick updates down the road, and don’t forget - we’re here to help every step of the way.

If you would rather find a new WordPress host, but keep your domain registered with us, you will be able to set an A record and CNAME here for that new host.

How do I use my existing domain with my new Bandzoogle website?

If your domain name was handled by HostBaby directly, we will be able to point it to your new Bandzoogle website when you’re ready. Just contact us in support and we’ll set that up.

If you’ve got it registered with an external company, check out this domain name help article for the steps on making it load your website here. Or contact us in support and we’ll help you get this done.

Does Bandzoogle offer FTP access?

We do not offer FTP access. Your website will be built from your Bandzoogle account’s control panel rather than updating via FTP.

What happens to my website hosting after January 31?

If you haven’t rebuilt your website either with Bandzoogle, or found a new hosting company, your website will go offline.

What happens to my domain name after January 31?

If your domain name was registered with HostBaby, we will take over the registration and notify you when it's up for renewal, which you can pay to renew here for the next year.

You’ll receive an email 30 days before your domain’s expiration date and you will be able to renew the domain at $14.95 annually.

If your domain name is registered with an external company, you will continue to pay them to renew it for you. You can transfer the domain here and the renewal will be included in any Lite, Standard or Pro membership.

Can I transfer my domain name away to a new company?

Absolutely. If you need help with a domain transfer, check out the steps here: Transferring a domain. If you’re still unsure, contact our support team and they’ll be happy to help.

How do I choose a theme?

If you decide to build a new website with Bandzoogle, you can choose from one of our modern, mobile-ready themes. Click the Edit theme tab, then View Themes to check them out. Then click Apply theme to add it to your website.

How do I add content?

You can add content by clicking the Edit Content tab. Create a musician bio, add an EPK, and upload your music to sell or stream. Changing your template at any time will not affect the content you’ve added.

If you need more help creating a website here at Bandzoogle, we’ve got lots of resources to help you on your way. Happy website building!
