Adding music to your website allows fans and industry professionals to listen and buy tracks and albums directly from your website. From any Music feature, you can import tracks you’ve already uploaded to Soundcloud. This will save time so you don’t have to upload them again.

How to adjust your track settings in Soundcloud

Before you can import your Soundcloud tracks to your Bandzoogle Music features, you will need to enable direct downloads for your tracks in your Permissions tab. To set this up, follow these steps:

  1. In your Soundcloud account, open your track details
  2. Toggle to the ‘Permissions tab’
  3. Under the ‘Access’ settings, click ‘Enable downloads’
  4. Click ‘Save changes’

How to add a Music feature to your website

Bandzoogle offers a few Music feature options, including an ‘Album’ feature, ‘Single’, ‘Track List’, and a ‘Site-Wide Player.’ These allow your fans to listen and buy your tracks and albums directly from your website. To add a Music feature to your website, follow these steps:

  1. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, select the page you’d like to add the feature to
  2. Click ‘Add feature’
  3. Select the Music feature you’d like to add, then place it in the section you want it to display

How to import music from your Soundcloud account

When you add tracks to your website, you’ll be able to upload tracks from your device, Dropbox, or via Soundcloud.

To import a track from Soundcloud, follow these steps in your Music feature.

  1. Click ‘Add track’
  2. In the track upload area, toggle the ‘Import a track from Soundcloud’ tab
  3. Click ‘Connect with Soundcloud’ and log in to your Soundcloud account
  4. Once you are connected, you’ll see a list of available tracks to choose from

Note: Tracks must be in the MP3, WAV or FLAC format to display on the page.

How to add a Soundcloud Player Widget

If you’d like to add a Soundcloud Player widget instead please use the following instructions:

  1. Login to Soundcloud.com and click either:
    • Tracks: To display a player with a single track.
    • Sets: To display a player with a playlist.
  2. Click Share, and copy the embed code
  3. Login to your Bandzoogle account
  4. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, click ‘Pages’ and open the page on which you’ll be working
  5. Click ‘Add feature’
  6. Select the ‘HTML code’ feature
  7. Use the placement arrows on that page to set the feature’s location
  8. Paste the Soundcloud embed code into the text box
  9. Click ‘Save’

Notes:

  • The Soundcloud player embed code places a widget on your website. Since this is not a Bandzoogle feature it will not skin to the style/colors you have chosen for your website. For a more cohesive look please use Bandzoogle’s built-in music feature and import your Soundcloud tracks.
  • We cannot modify or provide support for external HTML code. If you have questions or concerns about the embedded feature, or require support for the widget, you’ll need to contact the company that supplied the code.
