With a Bandzoogle website, you can sell almost anything you’d like from your website - commission-free! We offer two options to receive payments from your website - PayPal and Stripe.

This Help article includes the following:

  • How to receive payments through PayPal
  • How to receive payments through Stripe
  • Where to see the list of sales transactions
  • Troubleshooting payment issues

If you have both PayPal and Stripe set up as payment processors, your customer will be given the choice on the checkout page of which payment method they’d like to use.

PayPal Payments

PayPal is a payment processor that allows you to securely accept payments from your website. Your website visitors can pay using a credit card, debit card, or PayPal account. To receive payments, you need a free PayPal Premier or Business account.

Note: A ‘Personal’ PayPal account will not work.

When a visitor makes a purchase or donation you’ll receive the funds instantly. We don't take any cut of any of your sales but PayPal does charge their own processing fees.

For sales within the US the fees are‎ as follows:

  • Sales over $12: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction
  • Sales under $12 with a micropayment account: 5% + $0.05 per transaction

How to set up PayPal to receive payments:

  1. From the ‘Edit Content’ tab, click the ‘Music’, ‘Site-wide player’, ‘Store’ or ‘Donation’ feature
  2. Click ‘Payment Settings’ in the settings pane on the left
  3. Select the ‘Currency’ in which you’d like to receive payments
  4. Select the ‘Country’ where your store is based

Note: Used to distinguish between local and international orders.

  5. Click ‘Connect to PayPal’

  6. Enter your PayPal email address

Note: This must be the email address you use to log in to your PayPal account, not a username.

  7. Enter a ‘Micropayment email address’ (optional).

Note: A micropayments account may be connected to your main PayPal account, or on a separate PayPal account. To confirm, please contact PayPal directly at 402-935-2050 (to find more ways to contact PayPal, visit their website.)

  8. Click ‘Save’

After you click save you can immediately begin receiving payments through PayPal.

From the ‘Payment Settings’ tab you can Edit, Disable, or Disconnect your PayPal account at any time.

To change your PayPal shipping settings, you can follow these steps in your PayPal control panel:

  1. Log in to your account at www.PayPal.com
  2. Click ‘My Account’
  3. Click ‘Profile’
  4. Click ‘Shipping Calculations’ in the Selling Preferences column
  5. Select a currency from the dropdown
  6. Choose either ‘Flat Amount’ or ‘Percentage’, and click ‘Select’
  7. For each price range, enter the cost to charge for postage
  8. Click ‘Edit’ to make changes to the price range (optional)

Note: The amounts entered override any previous postage calculations set by your PayPal Shopping Carts or Buy Now Purchases
