New website template: Nadia

Imagine you’re a music teacher, performer, arranger and composer. You’ve got loads of content and music. All you need now is a place on the web that is not only stylish, but also creatively shows off everything that you do.

Enter our newest website template: Nadia. Named for the influential 20th century French composer, conductor, and teacher Nadia Boulanger, this template exudes a classic vibe.

It’s the perfect background for a piano teacher website or a music composer website. As with any of our templates, though, you can completely customize it and make it work for you. Let’s take a look at what makes this website template unique!

Structured, modular feel

The Nadia template is enclosed within borders. You can add your header image under your name, and adjust the height, depending on whether your image is longer, or wider. Sitting under your header area is the perfect spot for site-wide social media icons.

You can adjust the borders in many places with this template, allowing your imagery and content to flow, or contain it with a more linear feel. Adjust the lines to be as thick or thin as you’d like.

Add a call-to-action

On top of your header image, add a call-to-action to your Homepage and direct your visitors’ attention. The button should be an action, letting people know they can listen to your music or contact you directly to sign up for music lessons.

The box around your call-to-action can be customized as well - place it on the left, center, or right side, then decide if it works placed at the top, middle or bottom. The font is fully editable, so you can set the font type, text size, and line height to make that text look as engaging as possible.

Style from the background

This template offers a few different background options. Set the background color and then add a different color into the content area. Or, add a background image and set your content area color to be slightly less opaque, so that the imagery shines through.

With this website template you can also adjust the content to be full width across the page. This opens up options for different layouts: a text and image stack, side-by-side quotes, or multiple music players.

Sections and more sections

With a music website template that’s laid out in a structured way, it’s easy to add sections scrolling down the page. This is a great template to use if you want to create a one-page website, or a Homepage that leads into the other pages on your site. Add different colors to your section backgrounds, or a site-wide footer across all pages with key information.

Four variations to start from

We’ve created four different versions of the Nadia theme. You can choose the one that catches your eye, then customize the colors, background, fonts, and more.

The playful version of this template has a blue-grey background plus a background image. The orange font pops off the page to complement the background. Your content will slide over the fixed background image. Add a blog with image thumbnails per post for a modern look that will balance out your content.

Next, we’ve set up a neutral version of the Nadia template that’s a fairly blank canvas. The header image is flanked by clean shades of white. We’ve selected a funky font that’s mirrored at the top in black, and over the header image in white. 

To keep with the look and feel of this version, add a grayscale image filter over your own image in the Theme editor.

The elegant version also uses white to shine a spotlight on your content. It’s paired with a palette that includes mustard yellow and medium blue. The main font matches the elegant feeling, and there’s lots of breathing room at the top with your name and menu.

Finally, the Sombre version of this template is classy and attention-grabbing all at once. The color block at the top is a standout shade of red. Adding a crisp white font, and then a red call-to-action button makes this theme an interesting way to convey bold music with bright colors. Your content will display cleanly within the content area against the simple black background.

All of these variations of the Nadia template are mobile-ready and will adapt to any screen size, on any device.
