As a recent update to our built-in Reports feature, we added advanced stats for all Pro members to help you more fully understand and engage your fanbase. So, we happily unveil to you: page-level stats for your music website!
Connecting the Reports tab for page-level data
In order to access updated page-level stats, you’ll need to connect your Reports tab to Google Analytics. We’ll draw data from there, and distill it into your Reports tab in ways that are meaningful for a musician to determine trends.
Once set up, you’ll be able to track data from your website visitors on a page-by-page basis by clicking on a page name, or selecting ‘Page stats’ on the left hand side of your Reports tab.
Inspecting the analytics behind your website traffic can be not only informative, but enjoyable - even for creative types. Here’s a look at what you can do with page-level data from your website:
Analyze fan behavior per page
Similar to reading the room, as a musician you can try to understand your fans and adjust according to their preferences if it suits you. With detailed page-level stats you can determine whether your fans are using a mobile device, which songs they are listening to, and where they are visiting from.
Visitor location can help you uncover a potentially untapped place for a tour stop, or help you to know if media appearances in particular regions drew attention to your release. For example, you can search within the locations on your Shows or Tour pages by state, to see which areas fans are visiting from.
You can also track which social media platforms your fans are using to reach a specific page of your website – these details can inform where you may want to focus your next promotional efforts.
Set up Smart Links to promote an album
A big part of promoting new music is looking to previous releases and evaluating which strategies worked well and which didn’t. With page-level data you can set up a page that contains a Smart Links feature as part of your music promotion.
Once you’ve added your streaming services and promoted the page, you can check back in to see inbound sources and outbound links associated with your Smart Links. These data points will let you know where fans are coming from, and where they’re going once they view your Smart Links page.

Inform marketing campaigns by using Landing pages
To help guide your marketing efforts, you can set up custom Landing pages for your website, then check the stats to see how these pages are working to help you reach your goals. Your Landing pages are listed out on their own in the Reports tab for easy access.
You can use the data per page to determine how well a marketing campaign or ad set worked to drive traffic to a particular Landing page. The inbound sources will show you which promotional efforts are driving traffic, and the outbound link clicks will tell you where your visitors are going from your Landing page.
This data can help inform your next initiative by focusing efforts on a particular social media platform to grow your audience, for example.
Page-level data for all pages
In addition to using page-level data for Smart Links and Landing pages, every page of your site includes these additional stats now. This can help you optimize pages across your website.
For example, if your goal is to build your mailing list, try using a call-to-action in the Header area. See if you get more signups that way than you do when it’s simply sitting in the page content.
You can also see which songs fans are streaming or skipping on any page, giving you an idea of which songs are popular on your Music page, or which tracks are grabbing industry attention on your EPK page.
This update to the Reports area also includes a clean-up of how we serve stats for viewing, so data will appear more concise for all Bandzoogle members going forward.
Drilling down to specific pages can help you understand your fans’ behavior better. This is a key way to optimize and extend the reach of your music promotional efforts online.
