Entering my 10th year here at Bandzoogle, it goes without saying that I’ve seen a lot of huge updates made to our platform. The goal of each update is to help musicians build impressive websites - sites they are proud to share, and that help them maximize their earning potential and support the ability to market their own music.
Some additions are major updates like new features, integrations, or advanced e-commerce tools. And some are smaller add-ons that provide more flexibility in how your Bandzoogle website can be used. Let’s look at some of the newest small updates from the past few months that you can make use of right now:
Data filtering in reports
If you are on the Pro plan and are making use of our Google Analytics integration to get advanced site traffic stats, you’ll see a ‘Page Stats’ menu in your Reports tab. Page-level stats are extremely useful for understanding your fans and what actions they take when they land on your site.
To make it easier to read your Reports tab, you can now filter your stats. Under the ‘Page stats’ menu, click the ‘All pages’ drop down to filter by Landing pages, blog posts, track pages, album pages, and single pages.
We’ve also built in a search option - so if you’re looking for a certain page, enter it in the search box to locate it, then view the associated sessions and conversions.
Conversions stats
Getting detailed conversion stats are essential to understanding how well your marketing campaigns are performing. Let’s say you set up a landing page to promote a pre-sale of your upcoming album; you’ve linked to it from your socials, and you’re starting to get traffic to your landing page from interested fans.
Conversion stats convey exactly how many of these visitors clicked to buy the album or interacted with any other buttons/links on the page. Clicks could be to join a mailing list, purchase a download, submitting a query through a contact form, etc. You can determine the specific call-to-action you’d like your fans to perform, and check the page-level stats to see if those clicks are happening.
Getting a lot of traffic but seeing a low conversion number? It could be an indicator for you that a change to the page layout is needed, or that product pricing needs to be adjusted in order to encourage more clicks. Getting a lot of traffic and seeing a similar quantity of clicks? Congratulations - your campaign is performing well! You may want to repeat the same steps for a future campaign, or place a wider budget behind the next one.

Updated text editor
Improvements have been made to the text editor as well: images can be dragged and dropped into the content frame, and videos are much easier to embed.
A nice update to the text editor is having the dominant colors from your theme automatically available as colour swatch options when selecting your font color. This helps you easily maintain consistency in your site’s design, giving it that customized touch.
New EPK page content templates
If you’re looking to build an EPK or update the one you have, our EPK page templates are equipped with content layout suggestions to get you started with a professional design.
We’ve updated the existing page templates with more suggested content, and added two entirely new layouts for you to choose from. Using one of these page templates, you’re all set to build that striking EPK to impress promoters, radio or playlist curators, labels, fans, and media.
‘No Index’ option
Bandzoogle members asked for a way to hide specific site pages from search engines, and so we’ve added a new ‘Hide from search engines’ toggle in the Page Settings options. You can now ensure that the exclusive content you want to keep hidden stays hidden - it won’t get indexed by Google or be discovered by curious fans browsing search engine results.
Keep in mind that if your page is already showing in search results, it can take a few days for it to be removed once this toggle is turned on.
We put a lot of focus on broadening the marketing tools available to Bandzoogle members in 2022, and we hope these additions help you grow your fanbase and income stream even more in 2023.
