If you’re a regular reader to this blog, you know the value we place on Electronic Press Kits (EPKs) as an essential tool for artists. Today we are happy to announce that we are adding more ways for Bandzoogle artists to assemble a brilliant EPK on their site.
Create an EPK tailored to your needs
EPKs aren’t always a “one-size-fits-all” solution. Because of that, we drew up 3 new EPK page templates that should help speak to different audiences and help artists achieve different goals. Some artists may want to promote a new album, some may be targeting radio promoters or venues. There’s some content overlap between these audiences, but there’s also a benefit to crafting an experience in your EPK just for different audiences and scenarios.
General EPK
As an essential tool on your website, a general EPK will act like your online resume, to be updated as your music career evolves. This template contains all of the essential elements for a band EPK, including a quote, bio, music, photos, a video, and contact information.
EPK for Venues
For venues it’s important to show you have experience playing live and entertaining the crowds. Venues want to know they are booking someone that can perform. With this EPK for venues template, we wanted to prioritize content that helps promote what the live experience is for your music.
Onesheet for Radio
Yes, radio still matters! This template places an emphasis on your music, but this time focusing more on promoting a single to radio stations or streaming. You could also use this EPK option to pitch to a podcast or music blog.
EPK for Media
For this EPK template, we created a page that focuses on an album release. Along with a short band bio we make sure an Album description is the main focus. We then included some of the mainstays of any EPK such as video, embedded music player, photos and social media links.
How do I add this EPK to my website?
Any time you add a new page to your Bandzoogle website you will now see the new EPK Page Types to choose from. And of course you can customize these any way you want once you’ve added them to your website.

EPK themes to create a coordinated look
On top of adding these new page types we have also launched a new EPK category in our theme chooser. We added the themes that we think fit best with the EPK format. We have a heavy focus on easy content consumption and navigation while still injecting style with simple palettes and beautiful typography.
Once you’ve created your EPK, you can send out the link to promoters and the media. You can also create an exportable version of your EPK, perfect for print or sharing by email.
Any or all of these EPKs can be useful towards furthering a musician's goals. Whether you just want to create a spot for your marketing assets, pitch to radio, or work on booking more shows, these EPK templates will get you up and running with everything you’ll need to promote your music.
