New: Discount codes for your music & merch store

We just added discount codes to the store! They let you give selected fans a discount on your music and merch.

You can create codes in just a few clicks, and customize them to reflect any percentage discount you’d like to offer. Once shared by email or on social media, fans can easily enter the code in the checkout:

Discount codes are one of many new Pro features added recently, like Inventory tracking and SoundScan reporting.

How it works

Creating discount codes is easy. When editing your site, just click on a Store or Music feature and choose Discount codes.

Type the code you want your fans to use and add a percentage discount, between 1 and 99. Click Add code and you can now send this to your fans to take advantage of sales on your site!

[The Ultimate Guide to Selling Band Merch Online]

Fans will be able to enter it in the discount code field, and the percentage discount will be applied to their total purchase.

Make more money as a musician! Keep 100% of your revenues when you sell music, merch, & tickets through your website. Sign up free with Bandzoogle now.

Awesome! If there's a way that we could have an end time for discount codes, that would be great as we could promote online weekend sales, holiday sales, etc.

If I run out of an item at a show I can just have the fan visit my site, give them a code and they can purchase the item and have it shipped to them for the same price. This way I do not have to miss any sales and getting a new loyal fan. I will eat the shipping cost but gaining and keeping that fan is worth it.

There needs to be a way to delete discount codes too...not just make it inactive.

Thanks for the comments! We'll be adding more functionality to the feature in a future update, including the ability to set expiration dates for codes...so it's great to hear suggestions on what to add. We're also happy to hear creative ways to use it like yours @Chris Gales!

website designer: A dollar amount INSTEAD of a % amount as an option would be awesome. Also it applies to ALL items/songs. Maybe you just want for one item/song, not everything?! Please. Thank you-

@DAN MCTAGGART, thanks for the feedback. The team is looking at offering 100% discounts, and in the meantime if you'd like to send free downloads, you can do that through the Music feature!

I agree with others that a 100% discount, and/or the option to list an item at $0, is important. Yes there are workarounds, but none are ideal. This has been requested numerous times. Can we expect to see these options anytime soon?

@Nomad - We don't have this in development at the moment but should we add it, we'll certainly post a message in the community! Thanks.

Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword....wait there's even more Now what if i told you there was a simple Wordpress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That's right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. Seo Plugin seo plugin http://www.SeoOptimizedRankings.com/
