Meet Bandzoogle's New Theme Designer

Meet Bandzoogle's New Theme Designer

Some exciting news: we've completely revamped the theme designer, making it a lot more powerful and customizable.

New point and click editor

The Design tab has a new interface, which is easier and faster to use than before.

It displays all the controls for your current theme in a column on the left. When you make a design change, it updates instantly in the preview window on the right.

More control over your design

We've also added dozens of new design options to our 15 most popular music website templates. From background colors, to the height of the header area, you'll be able to tweak your theme to make it fit your style more than ever before.

Check out this video to see the new design options working some magic on the Primer theme:

Save works in progress

Another change is that you can now save your work in progress to publish later. You can play around with design options, or even create new templates, without worrying about it affecting visitors.

After you press "save" you'll see the new option to "Save to My Themes." You can access all your saved changes and apply them to your live website at any time in the future.

More modern themes to come

This new designer will also allow us to build out much more modern and flexible themes for you to use in the future. Stay tuned for more on that front in the coming weeks.

And have fun getting creative with the new design options!

Hi Bandzoogle, these look great. Do you think your designers may look at designing an easy to use Electronic press kit for Artists to send out to potential venues, clients? I would really love one through my main site.

Hey @Jen de Ness - I'll pass the suggestion up to the team for you, but Bandzoogle is designed so you can easily create an EPK page yourself if you need. Just click 'add page' in your pages tab, name the page (like 'press' or 'epk' and set the page type to 'not in menu' and click 'save'. You can click 'add feature' in the page to add a text feature for your short and long bios, a file list feature for providing PDF stage plots or hi res press photos, a video feature for a live promotional video for example, and a music feature for tracks. If you like, check out this blog post on our site, outlining the most important elements you need for an EPK page:

Thanks Adam, but it is just finding the time for me to create right now that feels too difficult. A pre-fashioned customizable EPK would be so fab! I am currently paying for this on another site! Would like to stop that asap and have a one-stop-music website. thanks Jen
