We're happy to announce that all Bandzoogle sites now use secure HTTPS. This means that data from your website visitors that is sent to our servers is protected via encryption. There are many places where fans can log in or share personal information on your sites, and now you can be sure that data is safe from outside eyes.
A side benefit of this update is that Google actually gives a boost in search engine ranking to secure websites using HTTPS. This means that all Bandzoogle sites are even better optimized for getting found in search than before. And for all the old URLs, we’ve added redirects, so your Google rankings will stay intact and links to your site will automatically load the HTTPS version.
The best part is, there is nothing you need to do and there is no extra charge to enable HTTPS. All Bandzoogle sites are automatically secure.
In the past, this required expensive SSL certificates to be installed. We've worked with the fantastic LetsEncrypt initiative to make this available to everyone.
You won't notice any changes to your site, other than the "secure" icon that appears beside your website URL in your browser.
We're always focused on security of your data, as well as making sure that your site is optimized for SEO. This update helps achieve both. Let us know if you have any questions about it.
