We’re off to Los Angeles this week for the TAXI Road Rally, which is taking place November 6th - 9th at the Westin LAX Hotel.
Once again this year we’ll be participating in many conference events including several classes, panels, and our signature website reviews clinic.
Our CEO David Dufresne as well as Director of Artist Relations Dave Cool will be on hand. Here are all the details on where to find them:
Free Website Reviews at Bandzoogle Table
David and Dave will be giving free website reviews at the Bandzoogle table during the conference, right across from the Grand Ballroom. As always, they’ll have t-shirts on hand for members, and plenty of free candy if you need a sugar high to keep you going. Here are the hours they'll be there:
Thursday, November 6
5pm - 8pm
Friday, November 7 - Sunday, November 9
9am - 6pm each day
Driver’s Ed Classes
David and Dave are also giving workshops every day at the conference:
How to Build A Professional Band Website in Minutes with No Web Design Skills!
Friday, November 7
11:00am-12:30pm (Westchester “A”)
This workshop will show how you can use Bandzoogle to build a professional mobile-friendly website where you can sell music & merch, sync with your social networks, and manage your mailing list. No coding or web design skills needed! Dave Cool (Director of Artist Relations, Bandzoogle) will build a website from scratch and show off Bandzoogle’s many easy-to-use tools for artists.
Website Demolition Derby
Saturday, November 8
4:30-6:00pm (O’Hare)
This session will offer live critiques of musician websites. Each site's design, organization, content, and functionality will be assessed. David Dufresne and Dave Cool from Bandzoogle are extremely knowledgeable about website best practices and deeply allergic to bad design, Flash widgets, and unreadable fonts. Reviews will be ruthless and diplomacy will be left aside, but in the process everyone in attendance will walk away with tangible information on how to create a great website for their music.
Online Marketing for Musicians: How to Gain More Fans & Generate More Income for Your Career
Sunday, November 9
10:45am-12:15pm (Westchester “B”)
There’s no shortage of online promotional tools for musicians, so it can be daunting to figure out just how to use them effectively to promote your music. Which social media sites should you be active on? Do you still need your own website? Are mailing lists outdated? This workshop will explain the “Hub & Spokes” method of using all of these tools in a cohesive strategy to gain more fans and generate more income for your career.
Workshop given by Dave Cool (Director of Artist Relations, Bandzoogle)
