Design tip - Header Images

Are the photos in your header image blurry or grainy? This can happen if you are using a low quality image. Most modern digital cameras will take very high quality images, but camera phones and images saved from the web may not work well.

To determine if the image is good enough quality, it is best to check the size of the image. Using a photo that is at least 800x600 pixels in size works best in Bandzoogle. To find out the size, right click on the file on your computer, click "properties", then click the "details" tab to view the image dimensions.

Another tip is to use images that are the same shape as the header space that they are going to fit in. Photos can be vertical (called portrait) or horizontal (called landscape) depending on how you took the photo. Most Bandzoogle sites work best with horizontal (landscape) orientation.

Hey can anyone tell me how to add the button like links on a page to make icons to twitter, bebo, myspace, and facebook? What i'm looking for is similar to how www.officialkrafty.com did it but I want the icons instead of just text? Please Help

Best bet is right click a graphic that you want to use, go to properties and copy the link of where the image is stored...
Then go to add feature, select image, paste the link of the graphic you want to use...

After that, you should also be able to add a hyperlink to it.
So if you want it to point to your own myspace page, put that url as your hyperlink...
(I always put external site and open in a new window)

You could download/save the graphics to your own page, I'm just not sure of the legality of that.

RedDymond: thanks for posting. It is a bit of a pain to get your external links posted on the site. So, we've decided to add that as a page "feature" to make it easy.

We'll post about it next week, but it will be as easy as clicking "add feature" then choosing what sites to link to.
