Hi there. I just wanted to make a technical point, since I was in the computer field.

Software designers have to have testers test out programs before they release it. It's called BETA TESTING. That way they can fix any bugs before they release. If not, people get really ticked when they find the bugs themselves.

Hope this helps, so you're not too upset with the BZ. I'm waiting too. It'll be awesome when it does get released.

People need to chill out! I too am anxiously awaiting this release, as are most all Zooglers I'm sure. But would you rather have it available WITH bugs NOW, or in a couple days WITHOUT bugs?
I'm willing to bet GOOD money right now that the biggest complainers that is is now "next week" will be the first ones complaining about 1) bugs, 2) they don't understand how to use the new system, 3) whatever else there is to whine about...
Relax, have faith in the BZ crew, and wait a few more days. Yeah, I'd like to know when exactly it'll be ready for us to use, but unless it goes longer than "this week" then I think we don't have much to complain about. And I too have updates waiting for the new system, and am holding off doing them until I can do it all at once...

I have been waiting a Loooonnnngggg time for this like everyone else and all you can give us is a simple editing interface? Which is not very easy to use, nor is it very practical. I do hope that when you decide to release the final version(months from now?) it will be much better then this. I have worked with way better interfaces and this one dose not stack up. I know you are working hard on this aspect of your service, but if you do not know how to make an easy free blank page interface then please hire someone who dose and stop the nonsense already. I would have done that for my customers if I was the owner as it is only fair to the people who pay good money each month during this tough economy. Also, to all of you who are ready to fire back at this post, don't bother as I am just saying what many others want to say but wont.

Jessie, this is still in beta, and it is the first version of the editor.
Clearly, like all aspects of our service, it will continue to
improve.

In terms of it not being useful; we've already seen some amazing
looking sites built with it, without adding a single line of CSS
code.

With customer feedback, we'll implement new versions of the
editor. Our goal was to get something simple and usable, that
integrates with our current template system. Feel free to share
your opinions about what you want to see added in the new
"custom template" forum. We are listening.

This is really helpful and cool! Here's what I've done so far - www.kelseyjillette.com - the adjustments are pretty subtle but I think they make it much better. My only suggestion at this point would be a slider for making images more or less transparent. Thanks bandzoogle!

TheWestFront - You can access the custom site editor in the Design & Options tab by clicking Change Site Style, then clicking the tab that says 'Custom styles'.
